Sunset Cliffs color story featuring hand ice-dyed cropped hoodie in warm coastal tones inspired by San Diego cliffs.

Featured Colorway

Sunset Cliffs

Inspired by the golden hour hitting the sandstone cliffs of Ocean Beach. This colorway features a layered blend of sun-baked clay, caramel, toasted almond, and soft terracotta, with deeper rust and umber pockets drifting through like eroded rock faces.

The Ice Dye Process

Unlike traditional tie-dye, ice dyeing creates layered, organic patterns that can’t be replicated. It’s a slow, deliberate process—guided by gravity, temperature, and time—resulting in truly one-of-a-kind wearable art.

1

Preparation

Each garment is pre-treated with soda ash to open the fibers and ensure long-lasting, saturated color. This step sets the foundation for depth, softness, and durability.

2

Ice Application

Ice is carefully layered over the fabric, creating a natural resist. As it melts, it controls how the dye moves—introducing variation, softness, and negative space.

3

Dye Placement

Professional-grade fiber reactive dyes are applied directly over the ice. As the ice melts, color slowly disperses through the fabric, forming organic patterns that can’t be repeated.

4

Curing

Pieces rest for 24+ hours, allowing the dye to fully bond with the fibers. This patience is what gives each garment its richness, permanence, and lived-in feel.
